About the plant

Hyundai's Nošovice plant is the only Hyundai factory in the European Union, and at 200 hectares it covers two and a half times the area of Škoda's Mladá Boleslav site. It opened in November 2008 and built its five-millionth car — a Tucson Hybrid — in January 2026.

The current model mix is Tucson at roughly three quarters of output, the i30 range at 11–16%, and the electric Kona at 10–13%. Around 80% of production is exported within the EU. The body shop runs 403 robots, almost all of them Hyundai-built.

What it pays

Hyundai publishes blue-collar averages, and the 2025 collective agreement is unusually detailed. It followed a near-strike: negotiations ran from October 2024 to May 2025 and the Ministry of Labour appointed a mediator before a deal was reached.

Can a foreign worker get in here?

At 94% Czech staff, Hyundai Nošovice is one of the least foreign-dependent large plants in the country. Combined with falling output through 2025 and headcount reduction by attrition, this is not a realistic entry point for a first placement in 2026.

Low likelihood for foreign entry-level hiring right now. Worth watching if output recovers.

Getting there

Nošovice is in the Frýdek-Místek district of the Moravian-Silesian region. Frýdek-Místek is 5–7 km away. Company shuttles connect the plant to public transport.

Where workers live

No published data on worker accommodation or rents. Nošovice itself is a village of about 1,000 people, so the workforce commutes. Frýdek-Místek, 5–7 km away with 52,000 residents, is the practical base.

Can I apply directly instead of through an agency?

If you are already legally resident in Czechia, yes — apply on the company careers page. From outside the EU it is much harder, because a direct application rarely covers employee card sponsorship, and that is the part an agency arranges.
