About the plant

Bosch has built diesel injection systems in Jihlava since 1993 — high-pressure Common Rail pumps, rails and control valves — across three plants in the Pávov district. It is one of the largest employers and investors in the Vysočina region and one of the biggest Common Rail producers in the whole Bosch group.

The site is mid-transition. Electric drive components, stators and rotors entered series production in 2024, electric motors in 2025. Revenue from e-mobility rose from 381 million Kč in 2023 to 2.8 billion in 2024 — more than sevenfold — while the diesel segment, still 88.7% of turnover, fell 9.6%.

What it pays

Bosch Jihlava is the clearest case in this catalogue of a plant actively short of labour: current adverts carry signing bonuses of 50,000 Kč, and several include arranged accommodation.

2025–2026Signing bonuses of 50,000 Kč in current adverts indicate an active labour shortage despite the structural decline in diesel.
2008–2009 (context)In the last major downturn the plant cut 425 production jobs and put nearly 6,000 staff on paid downtime at 80% of average pay, then ran a four-day week for over a year. Worth knowing how this employer behaves in a slump.

Can a foreign worker get in here?

Agencies recruit for Bosch Jihlava across a wide radius — arranged accommodation is offered not only in Jihlava but in Havlíčkův Brod, Žďár nad Sázavou, Pelhřimov and Třebíč. Combined with 50,000 Kč signing bonuses, that points to genuine difficulty filling shifts. The foreign share is not published.

Strong hiring signals and arranged housing. Foreign share unpublished; the diesel-to-EV transition is the risk to watch.

Can I apply directly instead of through an agency?

If you are already legally resident in Czechia, yes — apply on the company careers page. From outside the EU it is much harder, because a direct application rarely covers employee card sponsorship, and that is the part an agency arranges.
