About the plant

Kaufland's Czech logistics runs from two centres. Modletice east of Prague handles fruit and vegetables in a 15,000 m² facility rebuilt in 2022 for around 1.2 billion Kč, moving 600–2,000 pallets a day and supplying about 75 of the chain's 139 stores. A Kaufland meat plant also operates on the same site, processing 175 tonnes a day with over 400 staff.

Olomouc is the larger operation: 311,000 m² of grounds and about 100,000 m² of warehouse, including a fully automated 20-metre high-bay store with 23,500 pallet positions commissioned in November 2021. It runs 24/7, handling over 300 inbound and up to 180 outbound lorries on peak days.

No published data on foreign hiring. Good pay and premiums, unionised at Modletice.

Getting there

Modletice is east of Prague near the motorway. Olomouc is on the edge of the city. No shuttle service is publicly documented for either.

Can I apply directly instead of through an agency?

If you are already legally resident in Czechia, yes — apply on the company careers page. From outside the EU it is much harder, because a direct application rarely covers employee card sponsorship, and that is the part an agency arranges.
