About the plant
Alza's CZLC4 site at Chrášťany near Prague is the largest automated warehouse in the Czech Republic and, by the company's own claim, the second largest in Europe. The existing 20,000 m² hall opened in October 2021 and a 15,000 m² automation extension followed in 2022.
The automated zone runs AutoStore across 8,000–8,800 m², storing almost 300,000 bins and served by more than 400 mobile robots. The investment exceeded 1 billion Kč — the largest single investment in the company's history — and went live in December 2022, three months ahead of schedule.
