About the plant

Amazon's Dobrovíz fulfilment centre opened in September 2015 after a twelve-month build and is the company's main Czech site. It covers close to 100,000 m² across two storage towers, holds up to 18 million items and can move up to a million parcels a day at the Christmas peak.

Stock is stored chaotically — items are placed wherever the algorithm decides rather than by category — which is why the job is scanner-led and needs no product knowledge. The site employs around 3,000 people with roughly 800 on shift at any time, and staff come from 61 nationalities.

What it pays

Amazon Dobrovíz pay is quoted hourly and has risen steadily since opening. Current job adverts show the top of the range.

Can a foreign worker get in here?

61 nationalities on one site is the strongest signal in this catalogue that a plant hires internationally at scale. Ukrainian-speaking trainers on staff confirm structured onboarding for non-Czech workers. Against that, the 2021 union dispute and the repetitive-strain record are things a candidate should know before signing.
